Our 25-Year Journey: From Local Brackets to Big Money Racing
For over 25 years, we’ve been living and breathing drag racing. What started out as a dream with incredibly limited funds has grown into a semi-professional racing operation with some serious horsepower. But it didn’t begin that way—far from it.
Back in the early days, we raced anything we could get our hands on, but we certainly weren’t the fastest on the track. We spent most of our time at local races in the Joplin, MO area, learning the ropes with every race. We were total rookies with little more than ambition and a love for the sport. While our funds were small, our passion for drag racing was immense, and we stuck with it.
Throughout the years, we’ve met countless racers, from grassroots enthusiasts to influential pros in the drag racing community. Each connection has taught us something valuable, helping us improve both on and off the track. Along the way, our equipment has evolved—faster cars, better reliability, and the lesson that quality parts make all the difference. It’s no secret that high-performance parts come with a price tag, but we’ve learned firsthand that investing in the best pays off in the long run.
With the help of sponsorships over the years, we’ve made huge strides. There have been years where we were fortunate to secure funding that helped us grow exponentially. And then there were years where sponsors were hard to come by, and we had to dig into our own pockets just to keep racing. It’s been a roller coaster, especially in the world of sponsorships, which ebbs and flows with the economy.
This blog series is a transparent look at our racing journey—the highs, the lows, and everything in between. You’ll follow us as we go from winning races to blowing engines, as we face the ups and downs of racing life. We’ll share the nitty-gritty details: travel expenses, diesel prices, tow rig breakdowns, and the challenges of running a semi-professional big money racing operation.
So, come along for the ride as we take you through our story—past, present, and beyond. There’s a lot to uncover, and we’re just getting started.
